| Kroatien grenzt im Norden an Ungarn und Slowenien, im Osten an die Bundesrepublik Jugoslawien und an Bosnien-Herzegowina. Es besitzt einen langen, sich nach Süden hin verengenden Küstenstreifen an der Adria mit den Häfen Rijeka, Pula, Zadar, Sibenik, Split und Dubrovnik und ein größeres Gebiet im Inland, das sich von Zagreb in östlicher Richtung bis an die durch die Donau gebildete Grenze zu Serbien erstreckt. |
