| Was soll man sagen über ein Land, von dessen hypermodernem Hauptstadtflughafen man zu einem Dschungelabenteuer mit den Nachfahren der Kopfjäger starten kann? Was ist das für ein Land, in dem ein hektischer chinesischer Geschäftsmann an der Börse mit zwei Handys gleichzeitig telefoniert und ein paar Ecken weiter Hühner auf der Straße laufen, alles im Schatten des höchsten Gebäudes der Welt? Malaysia hat kein Image und ist kein Klischee, Malaysia ist nicht ein Reiseziel, sondern mindestens zehn. Im Gegensatz zu den Nachbarstaaten Thailand und Indonesien, die alljährlich Millionen von Touristen aus Europa und Übersee beherbergen, ist Malaysia fast noch ein Geheimtipp. Überlaufene Strände und Sehenswürdigkeiten, die man vor lauter Gedrängel kaum mehr sehen kann, gibt es hier (noch) nicht. Nightlife à la Phuket oder geschliffene Kulturprogramme wie auf Bali gibt es auch (noch) nicht. |
